The NSYSU-UGent 2nd Bilateral Research Symposium concluded with massive success, fostering a fruitful exchange of knowledge and ideas between National Sun Yat-sen University (NSYSU) and Ghent University (UGent). The symposium, held over two days from May 29 to May 30, blended with both online and in-person, providing a platform for professors and researchers from both universities to present their latest findings and engage in insightful discussions. The event featured a diverse range of topics, spanning various disciplines such as Photonics, Bioscience, Sinology, Marine Sciences, and Business Management. With a strong emphasis on collaborative research, the symposium facilitated meaningful partnerships, paving the way for future joint projects and academic endeavors between NSYSU and UGent.
During the 2-day symposium, scholars from both universities participated enthusiastically in both online and in-person workshops. Moreover, a couple of the departments, such as the College of Medicine and the Department of Chinese, have both arranged their next meetings to take their collaborations to the next level. The successful ending of the symposium not only deepened the research collaborations between the two universities but also contributed to the advancement of knowledge and innovation in the global academic community.
